Bygone Spares and Restorations (Incorporating Octagon Manufacturing) has been in business for several years with some "old hands' at the helm in the shape of Bruce Sharman, a gentleman who takes a real delight in vintage motoring and keeping the glorious vehicles of yesteryear on our roads safely and looking fabulous. He is always happy to discuss your motoring needs.

 

Bruce Sharman has long had a passion for motoring and classic and vintage vehicles. He is a member of several car clubs around Australia and the UK and particpates in online discussion forums to continue to develop and pass on his knowledge.

 

Bruce has many years of experience in car restoration and regulary writes technical articles for a range of car club magazines and gives presentations on a range of motoring topics. He also hosts tours of his workshops by appointment.

Bruce provides a bespoke restoration service for your vintage or classic car tailored to your unique requirements in the spirit of a nostalgic era when service was personalised, the customer valued and gentility in motoring was paramount- taking us back to what may be called the golden age of motoring.

Bygone Spares and Restorations based just outside Perth in Western Australia, has recently incorprated Octagon Manufacturing into the business and so can offer vintage wiring harness manufacture.

 

Bruce understands classic cars and their owners because he is himself a classic car enthusiast, with his own personal restorations in progress including a 1949 Alvis TA14 and a 1929 OHC Morris Minor. He is also passionate about vintage motorcycles and has several that he is restoring for himself including Panthers, BSA's and a Velocette MAC. Bruce drives and enjoys the classic cars he currently owns, which include a 1960 MGA 1600 and a 1951 Morris Minor Tourer.
